On May 19, the NBA announced –Atlanta Hawks backup guard Brandon Goodwin will miss the NBA playoffs after being diagnosed with a respiratory condition.

While the team described the condition as minor, it will require treatment and keep Goodwin out for the remainder of the season.

But according to the Atlanta Hawks point guard, the NBA isn’t exactly telling the whole story.

On a recent Twitch stream, Brandon Goodwin explained how his season ended early last year when it was discovered his body had developed blood clots after he received the COVID vaccine.

The Twitch stream that was posted on YouTube by Cosign Zee, gave the former Atlanta Hawks point guard the opportunity to share his belief that the COVID vaccine ended his career with the NBA team.

“I got sick and I never quite recovered from it. I would always have back pain, I was just super tired in the games.”

“Bro, I was so tired,” he said. “I felt like I couldn’t run up and down the court. My back was hurting.”

“My back really started hurting bad,” Goodwin recalled. “Then, I’m like, ‘OK. I need to go to the doctor. That’s when I found out I had blood clots. That all within the span of a month.”

“I was fine until then. I was fine up until I took the vaccine, I was fine.”

Goodwin says the NBA told him to keep it quiet.

‘We’re going to tell the press that your season’s over with,’” Goodwin recalled. “I’m like, ‘Damn. How? Like I don’t even, we don’t even know what it is.’ But it’s whatever. I’m not even
